These video files are VERY large and we have stored them on Amazon’s super-fast servers. However, when we have several new trainees, everyone is pinging the same files. If the server is going slowly, please follow these steps:
Do NOT keep refreshing the screen. This makes it worse by using even more resources from the already-taxed system
When you go to a new page, wait 30 seconds before hitting play. This will allow the video to buffer in the background and allow for smooth playing.
How to use the training portal
Be patient. Videos are fairly long and work better if you wait 15-30 seconds to let them buffer a little. This will stop pages from freezing up.
Use the next button at the bottom of each page to go to the next lesson.
Don’t forget topics or sub-lessons at the bottom of the page. About half of the lessons have additional exercises, downloads, or goodies at the bottom of the page. It’s a little unintuitive how these work. Do the main lesson on the page, then do the topical lessons after. You may need to use the back button to get back to the main lesson.
If you get lost, go back to the main course page, or, at worst, re-login to get to that page.
The training is done in a logical order, but you do not need to complete any lesson before going to another. That is, there are no course prerequisites.
Do the exercises. It will cement your knowledge.
Don’t be afraid to double back. One salesQB has logged into the LMS over 100 times, so don’t be bashful about re-engaging with the training.
